Brand Manager - Wine
Role Summary:
Lead the brand marketing efforts for a dedicated category, collaborating closely with supplier partners to ensure our market approach and branding choices drive sales growth.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Engage regularly with suppliers to:
- Create internal sales materials that effectively showcase the products.
- Design programs that optimally position our offerings in the marketplace.
- Maintain and update the pricing database.
- Develop incentive programs to motivate sales.
- Facilitate successful supplier market visits.
- Coordinate with Sales Directors to strategize territory ride-along assignments for maximum impact.
- Ensure timely sample distribution to representatives.
- Provide necessary POS materials, sell sheets, and pricing information.
- Assist in organizing and executing consumer engagement events.
- Send pre-event communications detailing schedules and relevant information.
Inventory and Pricing Oversight
- Continuously monitor brand inventory in collaboration with the forecasting team through regular meetings and daily updates.
- Address customer concerns to achieve mutually beneficial solutions.
- Oversee allocation programs for specialty items.
Collaboration Across Departments
- Work directly with Sales Directors to craft effective marketing and sales strategies aimed at maximizing wine and spirits distribution within an established or expanding customer base.
- Communicate all incentives, programs, and new product launches to the sales team through meetings and internal communications.
- Analyze sales reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to identify growth opportunities, capture market share, and monitor trends.
- Develop brand initiatives on an annual, quarterly, and monthly basis to enhance market presence.
- Conduct monthly internal planning sessions.
- Participate in annual business planning meetings with suppliers.
- Consolidate information and formulate plans for the upcoming year.
- Maintain the Eagle Rock Portfolio Book.
- Oversee accounts receivable for assigned suppliers.
Portfolio Analysis
- Evaluate current market conditions to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
- Assess new product offerings.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new suppliers.
- Develop innovative marketing programs.
- Engage with suppliers on a weekly basis.
- Manage sample request inputs.
- Schedule in-store tasting events.
Market Engagement
- Achieve required market presence days each month.
- Ensure consistent adherence to brand standards in marketing efforts.
- Coordinate and execute special events.
- Develop creative and effective strategies to enhance sell-through following new brand placements.
