Position Title: Brand Manager - Wine
Role Summary:
The Brand Manager will be responsible for overseeing the marketing strategies of the wine category, collaborating closely with supplier partners to ensure that branding initiatives and market approaches contribute to enhanced sales performance.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Engage regularly with suppliers to:
- Create compelling internal sales materials that effectively showcase the products.
- Design programs that optimally position our offerings in the marketplace.
- Maintain and update the pricing database.
- Develop and implement incentive programs.
- Facilitate successful supplier market visits in collaboration with Sales Directors.
- Ensure timely availability of samples for representatives.
- Provide necessary Point of Sale materials and pricing information.
- Assist in organizing and executing consumer engagement events.
- Communicate schedules and relevant details in advance.
Inventory and Pricing Oversight
- Continuously monitor brand inventory in partnership with the forecasting team through regular meetings and communication.
- Address customer inquiries to achieve mutually beneficial solutions.
- Oversee allocation programs for specialty items.
Collaboration Across Departments
- Work directly with Sales Directors to formulate effective marketing and sales strategies aimed at maximizing distribution of wine and spirits.
- Communicate all new incentives, programs, and product launches to the sales team through meetings and internal communications.
- Analyze sales reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to identify growth opportunities, capture market share, and monitor trends.
- Develop brand-building initiatives on an annual, quarterly, and monthly basis.
- Conduct monthly internal planning sessions.
- Participate in annual business planning meetings with suppliers.
- Consolidate insights and prepare plans for the upcoming year.
- Maintain the Eagle Rock Portfolio Book.
- Oversee accounts receivable for assigned suppliers.
Portfolio Management
- Conduct market analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
- Evaluate new product introductions.
- Facilitate onboarding processes for new suppliers.
- Develop innovative marketing programs.
- Engage with suppliers on a weekly basis.
- Manage sample request submissions.
- Coordinate in-store tasting schedules.
Market Engagement
- Achieve required market presence days each month.
- Ensure consistent adherence to brand standards in marketing efforts.
- Coordinate and execute special events effectively.
- Develop creative strategies to enhance sell-through rates following new brand placements.
