About the Opportunity

This entry-level position is designed for individuals looking to develop their skills in marine diesel engine maintenance. As a Marine Diesel Tech, you will work under the guidance of experienced technicians to learn the basics of diesel engine systems and maintenance. Your responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and communicating effectively with the team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel engines and generators
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed during task execution
  • Communicate effectively with the team and supervisors
  • Complete shift paperwork accurately and submit on time
  • Assist technicians with basic maintenance tasks
  • Perform cleaning and custodial tasks of vessels and property
  • Assist with filling water, bunkering fuel, and connecting/disconnecting shore power
Requirements & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Card)
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Marine mechanical and electrical experience preferred
