Role Summary:

The Project Engineer within the Engineering Department is responsible for ensuring the precise design of assigned components, facilitating their development alongside the design team, in alignment with the contractual agreements established with clients and the relevant technical standards, within a designated geographic region or customer group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee the accurate design of assigned components.
  • Lead and coordinate the design phase of marine air conditioning products, enhancing existing offerings using available modeling software.
  • Assess optimal solutions for clients, considering electrical, feasibility, and efficiency criteria to enhance the sales process.
  • Assist fellow design team members by verifying model accuracy, applying regulatory and corporate standards, and ensuring timely execution of tasks.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to other business units and clients regarding project documentation, product features, performance, alternative solutions, and new technologies.
  • Be adaptable to undertake various tasks as needed, with all employees expected to collaborate in support of Dometic's overarching objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years in air conditioning or related industries) or equivalent educational background.

Behavioral Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of materials and proficiency in internal calculation tools.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  • Knowledge of product design software (ElettraCAD is a plus).
  • General knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
  • Proficient in conducting pressure tests.
  • Fluent in English.
