The successful candidate will operate under general supervision, handling a range of moderately complex to intricate tasks associated with ensuring prompt and precise medical billing and resolving discrepancies. This encompasses electronic, paper, and invoice billing and rebilling activities. The role necessitates exceptional communication, customer service, and organizational abilities. All responsibilities must be executed in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to Concentra and Central Billing Office standards, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all billing processes, including state reports and transcriptions as mandated by state regulations. Handle client invoices with unique billing arrangements or agreements. Oversee transcription hold reports. Supervise claims indexing reports. Monitor Electronic Data Interchange billing reports. Assist clients with specific billing inquiries. Review claim hold reports and release charges when appropriate. Conduct thorough reviews of bills for accuracy, following all Central Business Office, market, and state guidelines.

Required Qualifications

Education Level:
High School Diploma or GED

Some college or specialized training in medical billing or equivalent relevant experience preferred.

Job-Related Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in medical billing. Experience in a multi-location practice. Knowledge of CPT/ICD-9/HCPC coding.

Ability to prioritize and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage with service areas, consultants, and clients. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks. Ability to work independently. Detail-oriented mindset. Willingness to assist colleagues. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
