The successful candidate will operate under general supervision, executing a range of moderately complex to intricate tasks aimed at guaranteeing prompt and precise medical billing and resolving discrepancies. This encompasses electronic, paper, and invoice billing as well as rebilling responsibilities. Exceptional communication, customer service, and organizational abilities are essential. All tasks must be completed in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to Concentra and Central Billing Office standards, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages all billing processes, including state reports and transcriptions as mandated by regulations.
  • Handles client invoices with unique billing arrangements or agreements.
  • Oversees transcription hold reports.
  • Reviews claims indexing reports.
  • Analyzes Electronic Data Interchange billing reports.
  • Assists clients with specialized billing inquiries.
  • Monitors claim hold reports and releases charges when appropriate.
  • Conducts thorough reviews of bills for accuracy, adhering to all Central Business Office, market, and state guidelines.

Required Qualifications

Education Level:
High School Diploma or GED

  • Some college education or specialized training in medical billing or equivalent relevant experience preferred.

Job-Related Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in medical billing.
  • Experience in a multi-location practice.
  • Familiarity with CPT/ICD-9/HCPC coding.
