Summary:

As a Member Services Associate, your role is vital in fostering a positive environment that promotes community health. We partner with hospitals, educational institutions, and community organizations to deliver tailored fitness and wellness solutions.

The Member Services Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring exceptional customer service for all members, guests, and potential clients. This includes providing comprehensive membership information, guiding enrollment processes, and enhancing customer satisfaction while focusing on membership growth and retention.


Key Responsibilities:
1.

Manage all interactions at the service desk, which includes handling opening and closing duties, responding to phone inquiries, processing transactions, registering guests, managing guest passes, and facilitating member check-ins for scheduled appointments. Additionally, you will collect member feedback and manage lost and found items while providing information about activities and events.

2.

Effectively promote and sell memberships along with ancillary services such as personal training, massage therapy, medically-integrated programs, and nutrition counseling.

3.

Coordinate appointment scheduling using core business software, ensuring timely reminders, handling cancellations, and communicating with team members as per established policies.

4.

Understand and execute all opening and closing procedures, including balancing cash drawers and adhering to credit card and check policies.

5. Accurately enroll members by explaining membership details, obtaining necessary signatures and payments, and distributing member handbooks. 6. Maintain effective communication with all departments via radio as required. 7.

Work towards achieving set satisfaction metrics, including performance in Secret Shops and Member Surveys, to enhance member and guest experiences.

8. Ensure availability by maintaining an average of 5 working shifts per month. 9.

Be prepared to stand for the duration of shifts, typically ranging from 3 to 6 hours.

Perform other related duties as assigned.



Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1-year certificate from a college or technical school preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience or training preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in sales, reception, and computer skills preferred.
  • CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on positive member interactions.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Proficient computer skills.
