Position Summary:
Tiverton Advisors is in search of a proactive and resourceful Senior Analyst, Portfolio Operations. This role is essential in providing top-tier financial modeling and accounting expertise for Tiverton and its associated portfolio entities. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in connecting deal execution with management oversight while ensuring operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver, capable of distilling key data and communicating effectively. They should demonstrate the drive and skill to create strategic frameworks, pinpoint business improvement opportunities, and implement solutions with stakeholder support. The Senior Analyst, Portfolio Operations, will thrive in a collaborative environment with a team of intelligent and skilled professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with portfolio company leadership to establish superior accounting and financial processes, including the monthly closing cycle and financial statement reporting.
- Oversee net working capital, credit facilities, and cash management, including a rolling 13-week cash forecast.
- Work alongside deal teams and portfolio company leadership to formulate an annual budget, forecast, and conduct variance analysis with commentary.
- Perform comprehensive analyses of portfolio company performance to identify areas for enhancement and growth potential.
- Create industry-leading KPIs, dashboards, and other metrics for board presentations.
- Partner with leadership to devise and execute strategic plans aimed at maximizing investment returns.
- Co-lead critical strategic value creation initiatives, post-acquisition synergies, and optimization of capital expenditures.
- Engage in process optimization, system implementation, and internal control projects/enhancements for portfolio companies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or related fields.
- 2-4 years of experience in public accounting, financial analysis, or consulting; industry experience is advantageous.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills complemented by excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Dedicated work ethic with a commitment to team enhancement and problem-solving capabilities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to contribute to a dynamic and successful organization.
- Understanding of financial statement mechanics and enterprise value within the private equity landscape.
- Willingness to travel as necessary (potentially 20%-30%).
