Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Associate, Portfolio Operations, to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional financial modeling and accounting acumen to Tiverton and its related portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Process Development: Partner with portfolio company leadership to establish best-in-class accounting and financial processes, including the monthly close process and financial statement reporting.
  • Financial Monitoring: Monitor net working capital, credit facilities, and cash management, including a rolling 13-week cash forecast.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with deal teams and portfolio company leadership to develop an annual budget, forecast, actuals-to-budget with variance analysis and commentary.
  • Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of portfolio company performance, identifying areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Develop industry-leading KPIs, dashboards, and other metrics for board presentations.
  • Strategic Planning: Partner with leadership to develop and implement strategic plans to maximize investment returns.
  • Value Creation: Co-lead key strategic value creation ideas, post-acquisition synergies, and capital expenditures optimization.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and participate in portfolio companies' process optimization, system implementation, and internal control projects/enhancements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or other related majors.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in public accounting, financial analysis, or a consulting role; industry experience is a plus.
  • Professional Certifications: CPA preferred.
  • Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, dedicated work ethic, commitment to enhancing the team, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attitude: Entrepreneurial attitude and desire to work for a dynamic and successful organization.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel, as needed (potential to be ~20%-30%).
