Job Summary:

Christus Health is seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing programs for individuals with communicative disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain consistency with administrative and departmental policies, demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and confidentiality.
  • Plan and administer diagnostic evaluations and treatment programs for clients, ensuring timely completion of required documentation.
  • Involve clients and their families in therapeutic planning, goal setting, and recommendations for interventions.
  • Restore patients to their optimal level of independence and function through professional duties related to patient care.
  • Participate in intra-departmental and inter-departmental communication systems to achieve departmental and hospital goals.
  • Ensure productive and efficient delivery of services through coordinated scheduling.
  • Maintain required records and documentations as specified in department policy and procedures manual.
  • Participate in medical chart peer review, case records review, and utilization review as deemed necessary by management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education/Skills:

  • Masters level degree in speech-language pathology is required.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Experience:

  • New graduate entry-level or any amount of experience in speech therapy is acceptable.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:

  • Application to begin fellowship year. At onset of clinical fellowship year, apply for temporary license with Arkansas and Texas Board of Examiners.
  • At completion of clinical fellowship year, obtain full license with American Speech and Hearing Association, Certification of Clinical Competence, Arkansas and Texas Board of Examiners.
