Overview:

The Speech Pathologist is accountable for assessing, designing, and executing therapeutic programs for individuals with communication challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to the policies and standards of the organization, demonstrating professionalism, appropriate attire, punctuality, confidentiality, and reliability.
  • Conducts comprehensive assessments and implements treatment plans for clients, ensuring timely completion of necessary documentation including case histories, evaluation reports, initial treatment plans, daily progress notes, and quarterly updates.
  • Engages clients and their families in the therapeutic process, facilitating goal setting and recommendations for interventions.
  • Delivers professional services aimed at helping patients regain their highest level of independence and functionality.
  • Participates in effective communication systems within and between departments to support organizational objectives.
  • Ensures efficient service delivery through effective scheduling and coordination.
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation as outlined in departmental policies and procedures.
  • Contributes to peer reviews of medical charts, case records, and utilization reviews as required by management.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Skills:

  • A Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology is mandatory.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience:

  • Entry-level candidates or those with any relevant experience in speech therapy are welcome.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Application for the clinical fellowship year is required. Upon starting the clinical fellowship, candidates must apply for a temporary license with the appropriate state boards.
  • Upon completion of the clinical fellowship, candidates should obtain full licensure and certification from the relevant professional bodies.

Work Type:

Per Diem as needed
