Job Summary

The Speech Pathologist is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing programs for individuals with communication disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains a high level of professionalism, adhering to administrative and departmental policies, and demonstrating excellent behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, and reliability.
  • Develops and administers diagnostic evaluations and treatment programs for clients, ensuring timely completion of required documentation, including case history, evaluation report, initial treatment plan, daily progress notes, and quarterly progress notes.
  • Collaborates with clients and their families or significant others to develop therapeutic plans, set goals, and recommend interventions.
  • Provides professional patient care to restore patients to their optimal level of independence and function.
  • Participates in intra-departmental and inter-departmental communication systems to achieve departmental and hospital goals.
  • Ensures efficient delivery of services through coordinated scheduling.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records and documentation as specified in departmental policies and procedures.
  • Participates in medical chart peer review, case records review, and utilization review as required by management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Masters-level degree in speech-language pathology is required.
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience
  • New graduates or experienced speech therapists are welcome to apply.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
  • Temporary license with Arkansas and Texas Board of Examiners.
  • Full license with American Speech and Hearing Association, Certification of Clinical Competence, Arkansas and Texas Board of Examiners.
