Overview:

The Speech Pathologist is accountable for assessing, designing, and executing treatment plans for individuals with communication challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to organizational and departmental guidelines, demonstrating professionalism, appropriate attire, punctuality, confidentiality, and dependability.
  • Conducts thorough diagnostic assessments and develops treatment plans for clients, ensuring timely completion of necessary documentation including case histories, evaluation reports, initial treatment strategies, daily progress updates, and quarterly reviews.
  • Engages clients and their families in the therapeutic process, including planning, goal-setting, and recommendations for interventions.
  • Delivers professional services aimed at helping patients regain their highest level of independence and functionality.
  • Participates in established communication protocols within and between departments to support the achievement of organizational objectives.
  • Ensures effective and efficient service delivery through coordinated scheduling.
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation as outlined in departmental policies and procedures.
  • Involves in peer reviews of medical charts, case record evaluations, and utilization reviews as required by management.
  • Completes additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Skills:

  • A Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology is mandatory.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience:

  • Entry-level candidates or those with any relevant experience in speech therapy are welcome.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Application for the clinical fellowship year is required. Upon starting the clinical fellowship, a temporary license must be applied for with the appropriate state boards.
  • Upon completion of the clinical fellowship year, candidates must obtain full licensure from the American Speech and Hearing Association, along with certification from the relevant state boards.
