Overview:
The Speech Language Pathologist is accountable for assessing, designing, and executing therapeutic programs for individuals with communication challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adheres to organizational and departmental standards regarding conduct, appearance, professionalism, and reliability.
- Conducts comprehensive assessments and develops treatment plans for clients, ensuring timely completion of documentation such as case histories, evaluation reports, initial treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Engages clients and their families in the therapeutic process, setting goals and recommending appropriate interventions.
- Delivers professional services aimed at helping patients regain their highest level of independence and functionality.
- Participates in effective communication practices within and across departments to meet organizational objectives.
- Ensures efficient service delivery through coordinated scheduling and management of patient care.
- Maintains accurate records and documentation in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Contributes to peer reviews and case evaluations as required by management.
- Completes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Skills:
- A Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology is mandatory.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
Experience:
- Entry-level candidates or those with any relevant experience in speech therapy are welcome.
Licensure and Certification:
- Application for the clinical fellowship year is required. Upon starting the clinical fellowship, candidates must apply for a temporary license with the relevant state boards.
- Upon completion of the clinical fellowship, candidates should obtain full licensure and certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association and state boards.
Work Type:
Per Diem as needed
