About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic leadership team as an Executive Assistant in the Director's Office of the Department of Administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Director and other senior staff members, including calendaring, materials preparation, email management, and correspondence preparation.
  • Manage and maintain websites, social media sites, and other online platforms.
  • Support boards and committees associated with department functions, including taking meeting minutes and preparing materials.
  • Work on special projects in support of the department's mission, utilizing skills in writing, editing, and proofreading.
Requirements
  • College coursework emphasizing business subjects, writing, or related studies, and substantive experience with office and administrative support.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with employees, managers, and others in both positive and challenging situations.
  • Proficient in using Adobe and Microsoft Office software suite, with advanced skills in Word and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, as this position has frequent contact and access to confidential information.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with agency staff, Governor's Office staff, other agency staff, vendors, and others.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness to ensure quality work output.
  • Able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing priorities, and capacity to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Notary Public certification or willingness to obtain this certification.
