Laundry Services Operator for Senior Care Facility

We adhere to rigorous infection control protocols to safeguard both residents and staff, holding everyone accountable to these standards. Our residents primarily consist of seniors with diverse healthcare needs.
For over 156 years, we have been dedicated to serving the senior community in Greater New Haven as a mission-driven non-profit organization, overseen by a Board of Trustees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect soiled linens from the designated area at least three times daily.
- Wash, dry, fold, and iron residents' personal garments.
- Handle all bedding, linens, and household items with care during the washing and drying process.
- Maintain an organized and accurate system for clothing collection and processing.
- Utilize labeling equipment proficiently to ensure proper identification of resident clothing.
- Perform cleaning of washers and dryers, both inside and out.
- Regularly clean lint filters and maintain laundry tubs weekly.
- Vacuum the work area at least once a week or as necessary.
- Ensure all machines are turned off and secured when not in use.
- Monitor and replenish chemical supplies as needed.
- Assist in the Housekeeping Department when required.
- Respond to reasonable requests from the Director of Environmental Services.
