The Mary Wade Home Incorporated is seeking a dedicated Culinary Specialist for our Assisted Living and Memory Care community. Our community features 84 living units, including both studio and one-bedroom apartments, with a designated area for Memory Care. Residents can enjoy amenities such as a bistro, salon/spa, fitness center, and a rooftop terrace.

Work Schedule:

Full-Time: 40 hours per week, with flexibility required for weekends.

Compensation: Hourly Rate: $16.00 to $20.00, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize food preparation to align with meal service times, ensuring quality, temperature, and presentation of dishes.
  • Oversee and assist with daily cleaning tasks within the kitchen, adhering to established health and safety standards.
  • Understand and implement dietary requirements for residents.
  • Train and supervise Dietary Aides.
  • Relay resident preferences to the Executive Chef for effective menu planning and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a culinary role is preferred; experience in Assisted Living is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capacity to lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
  • This position requires prolonged standing and physical activity.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and residents.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Adept at managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as bending, kneeling, and reaching as needed.
