Senior Manager of Supply Chain Optimization

  • Compensation Range: $59 - $70

Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Supply Chain Planning and Program Management, the Supply Chain Planning Specialist will spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing manufacturing, procurement, and distribution planning methodologies and tools. As a Subject Matter Expert in Supply Chain Planning, this position will offer guidance on business processes and systems while driving improved supply planning capabilities for professionals across various divisions and regions of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:


• Act as the primary business authority for global supply planning practices. This includes translating demand signals into actionable supply plans, addressing supply planning challenges, adapting to evolving business requirements, and resolving issues related to existing processes and systems.


• Assess current supply planning performance, pinpoint and quantify key improvement opportunities in relation to best practices, and lead global initiatives to achieve desired business outcomes.


• Proactively seek opportunities to enhance supply planning efficiencies through a continuous improvement framework, utilizing advanced planning automation and optimized business processes. Define associated benefits and costs, leading initiatives to ensure a positive return on investment.


• Facilitate global governance forums for supply planning professionals to create a roadmap for continuous improvement and promote standardized best practices across corporate divisions and global regions.


• Collaborate with Systems representatives to develop supply planning automation, implement new functionalities, and address automation issues and system updates.


• Create training materials, onboard new users, conduct ongoing learning sessions with current supply planning professionals, and foster engagement.

Qualifications:


• A minimum of eight years of experience in supply planning roles with a solid understanding of IBP/S&OP processes.


• At least three years of demonstrated expertise in supply planning process enhancement and project management, with a proven track record of managing organizational change and delivering results.


• Exceptional interpersonal, influencing, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to establish credible relationships across multiple functions in a matrixed environment.


• Proficient communication skills suitable for all organizational levels, including executive management.


• Strong project management, analytical, and organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.


• Extensive experience as a direct user of advanced supply chain planning platforms, with a preference for Kinaxis RapidResponse experience.


• Proficient in MS Office suite and Oracle or similar ERP systems.

Education and Experience:


• BA/BS degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, business, or a related technical field is required.


• An MBA or MS degree is preferred but not mandatory.


• Professional certifications in Supply Planning such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, and CTSC are highly desirable.
