Overview:

Reporting to the Vice President of Supply Chain Planning and Program Management, the Supply Chain Planning Specialist will spearhead efforts to enhance manufacturing, procurement, and distribution planning methodologies and tools. As a Subject Matter Expert in Supply Chain Planning, this position will offer business process and system expertise while fostering improved supply planning capabilities for practitioners across various regions. The Supply Planning Specialist will ensure that planners have access to the appropriate integrated toolset and receive adequate training, playing a pivotal role in building competencies and executing the strategy of the Global Supply Chain Planning Center of Excellence.

  • Key Responsibilities: Act as the principal business owner for supply planning methodologies utilized globally within Mastech Digital. This encompasses the conversion of demand signals into supply plans (e.g., translating forecasts into netted requirements, master production scheduling, MRP procurement/production plans, and distribution resource planning), addressing supply planning business challenges, adapting to evolving business needs, and resolving issues with current processes and systems.
  • Assess current supply planning performance, pinpoint and quantify primary improvement opportunities relative to best practices, and lead global initiatives to achieve targeted business outcomes (e.g., cost reductions, resource efficiencies, service level enhancements, etc.).
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance supply planning efficiencies through a continuous improvement framework leveraging advanced planning automation and business processes. Define associated business benefits and costs and lead initiatives to ensure return on investment.
  • Facilitate global governance forums for supply planning practitioners to create a continuous improvement roadmap and promote standardized best practices across corporate divisions and global regions. Ensure sustainable alignment with relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Systems representatives to develop supply planning automation, implement new functionalities, and address automation issues and system updates.
  • Create training materials, onboard new users, conduct ongoing learning sessions with existing supply planning practitioners, and drive engagement.
  • Qualifications:Minimum of eight years of experience in supply planning roles (manufacturing, procurement, and/or distribution planning) with a robust understanding of IBP/S&OP processes.
  • At least three years of demonstrated expertise in Supply Planning process enhancement and project management, with a proven track record of managing organizational change and delivering results.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, negotiating, and presentation skills, with the ability to establish credible relationships across multiple functions in a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all organizational levels, including executive management.
  • Exceptional project management, analytical, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Extensive experience as a direct user of advanced supply chain planning platforms (e.g., supply/demand planning automation). Kinaxis RapidResponse experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and Oracle or similar ERP systems.
  • Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in supply chain, industrial engineering, business, or a related technical field is required.
  • An MBA or Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Professional Supply Planning certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, and CTSC are highly desirable.
