In a vibrant retail environment, each day presents unique challenges. You will engage in a blend of fundamental duties and special initiatives aimed at enhancing logistics efficiency, achieving cost reductions, and developing the essential tools and capabilities to support our ongoing expansion.

The Global Logistics Operations Coordinator manages the import supply chain for the organization, overseeing shipments from source countries to domestic ports.

Evaluate operational processes, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and implement improvements aligned with both the international supply chain and organizational objectives.

Foster and maintain collaborative partnerships with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Supervise daily operations with freight forwarders and third-party logistics providers for direct import shipments. Ensure that logistics service providers fulfill their contractual commitments.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee direct import logistics and coordinate with third-party freight forwarders within a designated global region.
Ensure successful execution of all international inbound logistics activities through 3PL partners, including:
Monitoring shipment flow from origin to guarantee timely product arrival.
Planning and scheduling shipments.
Managing exceptions and daily interactions with vendors and inbound logistics providers.
Maintain comprehensive operating procedures and departmental manuals.
Collaborate with Global Buying Offices to address their logistics requirements.
Optimize inbound operational performance to enhance capacity planning, container utilization, and 3PL efficiency.
Work alongside divisions, freight forwarders, Global Buying Offices, agents, carriers, merchants, and distribution services to streamline merchandise flow throughout the supply chain.
Manage relationships with supply chain partners, including merchandise vendors and overseas forwarders, to meet organizational standards and enhance network efficiency.
Assess logistics provider performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), identify procedural gaps, and propose corrective action plans to address service deficiencies.

Qualifications:
We are looking for a candidate who possesses:
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or Operations; an MBA is preferred.
1-3 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management.
Experience in international freight forwarding and/or third-party logistics operations management.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel, including the ability to utilize complex pivot tables and vlookups.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities; the capacity to quickly assess situations and provide alternative solutions is crucial in the fast-paced retail sector.
A self-motivated individual who can effectively manage timelines and prioritize tasks.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others without direct authority.
Exceptional communication skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships; you will represent the organization to many external partners.
