We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Analyst to join our team at BJ's Wholesale Club. As a Procurement Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our procurement processes, from requisition review and approval to PO generation and invoice approval.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough research and analysis of suppliers and vendors to identify the most cost-effective and reliable sources of goods and services.
- Develop and foster strong supplier relationships and implement procurement strategies to ensure that the organization obtains the best value for its money.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain favorable terms and service levels for purchases.
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in the procurement process.
- Actively partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive cost savings and cost avoidance.
- Create and maintain databases and other tools to track procurement activities and expenditures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure objectives are being achieved and timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure that vendors meet contractual obligations.
- Provide reports and regular updates to stakeholders regarding procurement activities and performance metrics.
- Support procurement training to all new employees and assist with creation of end-user training materials and standard operating procedures.
- Proficient in the use of new technology tools and software such as Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables).
- Quick learner who can quickly grasp new concepts, processes, and databases, for example, procurement systems (Ariba / SAP).
- Excellent customer service skills, providing timely and professional responses to internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with colleagues, vendors, and suppliers.
- Detail-oriented, with a focus on all details large or small, and able to spot errors or inconsistencies in data, contracts, or other documents.
- Resourceful, proactive, and able to find and utilize available resources to solve problems and achieve objectives.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to negotiate favorable terms and service levels and provide timely resolution to issues.
We offer a competitive salary range starting from $55,000.00 and a collaborative and inclusive work environment where all team members can learn, grow, and be their authentic selves.
