Position Summary

The Travel Accounting and Services division is tasked with delivering comprehensive travel services, from making travel arrangements to processing employee reimbursements post-trip. The Travel Accounting Specialist (Accounting Specialist II/III) will oversee the verification of Travel and Expense Reports, Purchase Card (PCard) statement reconciliations, and other financial documents in alignment with the company's policies and procedures.

Work Model

This role is a full-time position offering a hybrid work model that includes a combination of regular onsite workdays and remote flexibility as required by business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and authorize Travel and Expense Reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate posting of transactions in SAP.
  • Assist in the review and approval of Purchase Card (PCard) statements, ensuring proper processing of transactions in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with employees to interpret company policies and provide assistance in reconciling their Travel & Expense Reports and PCard statements.
  • Execute month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Address audit inquiries and supply necessary information as required.
  • Contribute to enhancements in systems and processes to support various initiatives and projects.
  • Manage tasks within the Travel Accounting domain, including reconciliation of Concur/SAP Interfaces and administration of Corporate Cards.

Qualifications for Success

Minimum requirements for the Accounting Specialist II include:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with Corporate Card products and account management.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, systems, and company policies.
  • Experience as a functional user of SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools.
  • Proficiency in Concur Travel and Expense System or similar reimbursement tools.
  • Competence in standard office software, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

For the Accounting Specialist III, the minimum requirements include:

  • 6 or more years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

It would be advantageous to possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience with system implementation and process improvements.
