We are seeking a skilled Intake Coordinator to join our team at Amerita, Inc. as we continue to grow and expand our services in the home infusion market. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing referrals, ensuring timely clearance, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Process referrals received from referral sources
Ensure all required documentation is received and processed in a timely manner
Enter patient demographic, insurance, and authorization information into the computer system
Obtain authorizations and re-authorizations as required by payers and document in the computer system
Verify insurance coverage and authorization prior to referral delivery
Communicate with other departments regarding referral status and authorization requirements
Maintain confidentiality of patient and proprietary information

Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or some college preferred
Minimum two (2) years of experience collecting referral information in the healthcare market
Experience working with all payer types, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance companies
Knowledge of insurance verification and pre-certification procedures
Strong verbal and written communication skills
