Patient Access Specialist/Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist/Coordinator to join our team at Universal Health Services. This role is responsible for preparing, submitting, and online entry of Vision and Chiropractic services, as well as managing related Charge Review WQs, posting payments to billed charges, and maintaining tracking logs for timely submission and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities- Process all incoming PPO authorization requests, including contacting payers to verify eligibility, initiating authorization requests, and tracking and monitoring through completion.
- Assist in verifying eligibility for hospital registrations and updating patient accounts.
- Manage Charge Review WQs, post payments to billed charges, and maintain tracking logs for timely submission and follow-up.
- High school diploma or general education degree required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Two years prior experience in medical billing/collections preferred.
