Job Title: Shift Manager

Reports to: Store Manager and/or General Manager

FLSA Status: Non Exempt

Job Summary: LaMar's Donuts is now hiring full-time Shift Managers. Experience is not necessary, but it is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete Daily Opening and Closing Procedures: Ensure the store is prepared for opening and closing, including setting up and breaking down equipment, and conducting inventory checks.
  • Establish Budgets and Goals: Work with the Store Manager to set sales and profit goals, and develop strategies to achieve them.
  • Oversee Store Operations: Supervise and coordinate the activities of all store employees, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Hire and Train Employees: Recruit, interview, and hire new employees, and provide training and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Schedule Employees: Create and manage employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods and minimize labor costs.
  • Perform Personnel Management Functions: Handle employee relations, including resolving conflicts, addressing performance issues, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Handle Responsibilities of Other Staff Positions: As needed, take on responsibilities of other staff positions, such as customer service, inventory management, and maintenance.
  • Keep Accurate Inventory Records: Maintain accurate records of all materials, supplies, and other items, and ensure that inventory levels are adequate to meet customer demand.
  • Fulfill Management Responsibilities: Complete all reporting requirements, including sales reports, inventory reports, and employee performance reports.
  • Review and Authorize Supply Orders: Review and approve all supply orders to ensure that they are necessary and align with the store's budget and goals.
  • Maintain Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that customers receive excellent service and that their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Control Materials, Labor, and Other Operating Costs: Work with the Store Manager to develop and implement strategies to minimize costs and maximize profitability.
  • Oversee Unit Maintenance and Security: Ensure that the store is maintained in a clean and safe condition, and that all equipment and facilities are in good working order.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license.
