Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Operations Manager to join our team at U of C NORC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the activities of supervisors and indirectly, the activities of interviewers and clerks, within the various functional areas of our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Oversee the activities of supervisors and indirectly, the activities of interviewers and clerks, within the various functional areas of our facility.
  • Problem Identification and Troubleshooting: Identify problems and troubleshoot any potential roadblocks to completing projects on time, on budget, and to specifications.
  • Quality Assurance: Enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards while maintaining a skilled, productive, engaged, and satisfied team of production staff.
  • Employee Development: Help achieve set goals and further develop professional growth by implementing NORC policies in area of employee relations, disciplinary issues, and performance appraisals.
  • Communication: Communicate clearly when distributing work assignments and establishing priorities.
  • Budget Management: Monitor budgeted hours for QAATIC and leadership level tasks and inform task leaders if the allocated hours are not being met.
  • Technical Support: Investigate and escalate any systems issues that will impact production to IT as appropriate.
  • Training and Development: Train and coach supervisory and QAATIC staff on any new applications that are established in the workplace.
  • Team Leadership: Serve as a role model to staff by fostering a positive work environment, collaborative work, and active communication with colleagues in remote sites.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma (or equivalency) and at least 1 year experience in telephone data collection as well as a record demonstrating positions of increasing supervisory responsibility.
  • Skills: Problem identification, troubleshooting, problem solving, attention to detail, oral and written communication, and leadership skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Timekeeping, CATI, CADE, Case Management, and Call Scheduling packages.
  • Experience: Solid experience managing and mentoring staff.
  • Teamwork: Ability to create a teamwork environment by working cooperatively with peers, subordinates, managers, and staff in other departments.
  • Flexibility: Ability to handle multiple conflicting responsibilities.
  • Availability: Available to work a flexible work schedule that includes evening and weekend shifts onsite.
  • Age and Eligibility: At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
