Eyeglass Distribution Supervisor, Bureau of School Health
Job SummaryThe City of New York is seeking a highly skilled Eyeglass Distribution Supervisor to join the Bureau of School Health. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient distribution of eyeglasses to designated community schools throughout the five boroughs.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Supervisor of the Eyeglass Processing Unit to coordinate the distribution of eyeglasses.
- Supervise and coordinate daily schedules with the Bureau of Operations to ensure driver availability.
- Work with optical providers to ensure timely delivery of eyeglasses to students.
- Provide guidance and support to Team Leaders, Public Health Advisors, and Public Health Assistants in planning and implementing school deliveries.
- Compile statistics and prepare weekly reports on distribution status.
To be considered for this position, you must have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community-centered activities. Alternatively, you may have a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience in a related field. Experience in public health, education, or a related field is highly desirable.
