Eyeglass Distribution Supervisor, Bureau of School Health

The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled Eyeglass Distribution Supervisor to join our team at the Bureau of School Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient distribution of eyeglasses to designated community schools throughout the five boroughs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Supervisor of the Eyeglass Processing Unit to ensure timely delivery of eyeglasses.
- Supervise and coordinate daily schedules with Bureau of Operations to ensure drivers are available to deliver eyeglasses.
- Work with optical providers to ensure students receive eyeglasses within the allotted contract timeframe.
- Provide guidance and support to Team Leaders, Public Health Advisors, and Public Health Assistants in planning, implementing, and scheduling schools for deliveries and distribution of eyewear.
- Compile statistics and prepare weekly reports on distribution status.
Requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community-centered activities in an area related to the duties described above.
- High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community-centered activities in an area related to the duties described above.
