Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the Business & Employment Manager, the Employment Services Coordinator will collaborate with a dedicated team, essential partners, and employers to support adult jobseekers from vulnerable backgrounds (e.g., veterans, individuals with disabilities, formerly incarcerated, homeless) in acquiring job-readiness skills and securing sustainable employment in living-wage positions. This role aims to enhance the local workforce by improving the employability and placement prospects of jobseekers while fostering strong business relationships and supplying employers with qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 40% of time dedicated to delivering job-readiness training, including resume preparation, job placement, retention support, and follow-up services for one year post-placement.
  • 40% of time focused on building and nurturing employer partnerships that lead to living-wage job opportunities through direct placements and hiring events.
  • 15% of time allocated to maintaining accurate records, data entry, and reporting to ensure compliance with grant objectives.
  • 5% of time assisting management and the team in evaluating and enhancing service delivery models.

Essential Duties:

  • Employ diverse recruitment strategies, including digital platforms, to engage the community and facilitate the intake of adult jobseekers from various vulnerable populations into employment services.
  • Provide comprehensive career planning and job-readiness training to over 100 adult jobseekers, ensuring effective placement support in high-demand industries.
  • Systematically track and document all job-readiness training and outcomes using internal tracking systems.
  • Design and implement job-readiness workshops, such as resume writing and interview preparation, through various delivery methods to meet contemporary workforce needs.
  • Execute placement strategies including job fairs and employer referrals to facilitate job placements.
  • Engage with businesses weekly to cultivate relationships and identify job opportunities.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all business services provided, ensuring compliance with internal data systems.
  • Organize and disseminate job leads and recruitment events through multiple channels.
  • Facilitate regular case conferences to monitor participant progress and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with local organizations to support small businesses and entrepreneurs.
  • Participate in employer engagement initiatives and advisory council meetings.
  • Prepare regular reports on grant progress and outcomes for organizational leadership.
  • Ensure adherence to the Integrated Service Delivery model in collaboration with Career Coaches.
  • Work closely with all staff and partners to deliver high-quality services and meet grant requirements.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in work hours to accommodate recruitment activities.
  • Maintain professionalism and positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Address client concerns and feedback with professionalism and support from the team.
  • Contribute to the organization's strategic planning efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in job development or business services within non-profit or for-profit sectors.
  • Experience working with diverse vulnerable populations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data tracking systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in staffing or business services.
  • Familiarity with WorkSource Center operations.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.
