About the Role

Alera Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our commercial insurance team, you will be responsible for managing complex accounts and providing exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Management: Manage a large and complex book of business, including key accounts in the Sr. Care Industry.
  • Client Relationships: Foster strong relationships with clients, responding to formal RFPs and independently maintaining new and existing client relationships.
  • Team Leadership: Lead staff in maintaining client relationships, motivating performance to ensure client deliverables are consistent with service standards and proper procedures.
  • Collaboration: Facilitate a collaborative team environment, participating in staff hiring and separation decisions and advancing the training of new team members.
  • Administrative Tasks: Approve time-off requests and timesheets for staff, as applicable, and approve expense reports within expense authority level.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in a senior commercial account management role (typically 10+ years total insurance experience).
  • Licenses and Certifications: State property & casualty agent's license.
  • Education: College degree or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills, and full proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook.
