Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our legal team at Interface Systems. This role will provide a single point of contact for contracts expertise and management, helping to reduce the workload on product and sales in generating and negotiating agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Stewardship
    • Assess, plan, and collaborate on contract-related matters
    • Maintain contracts policies and procedures
    • Maintain a catalog of current contract templates
    • Perform business and legal term adjustments and insertions as products and regulatory requirements change
    • Build relationships cross-functionally with legal, finance, marketing, product, and other teams to ensure accurate descriptions of products and services
    • Coordinate with legal to ensure enforceability of key terms across various client agreements
  • Contract Lifecycle Management
    • Prepare contract documents as needed
    • Secure terms and products to include and provide draft copies
    • Manage the contract negotiation process
    • Coordinate calls for contract review
    • Work with key stakeholders on business term modifications
    • Work with legal on legal term modifications
    • Ensure the proper filing of signed customer documentation
    • Create and maintain term sheets for new contracts
    • Propose creative, customized language where needed to support customer requests in a way that minimizes company risk
  • Contract Analysis
    • Build contract summaries for storage and executive approval that includes a summary of terms and high-level financial analysis
Requirements
  • Desired B.S. degree in Contract Management or related field or equivalent experience in Contract Management
  • Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Desired 3-5 years' experience with and strong knowledge of contract creation and negotiation
  • Analytical skills to determine the best structure for agreements
  • Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Project management skills to develop project plans and communicate changes and progress
