Job Title: Logistics Contract Paralegal

Samsung SDS America is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Contract Paralegal to join our team. As a key member of our Legal & Compliance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the contract and project management functions of our smart logistics (SL) business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Management: Review contract request forms, collect necessary information, draft, review, and analyze various types of contracts, including NDAs, logistics services agreements, transportation agreements, and warehouse management agreements.
  • Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on contract terms and conditions, act as the point of contact for contract-related discussions, and serve as a key liaison between corporate counsel and other stakeholders.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support for the day-to-day activities of SL Legal & Compliance, process budget requests and invoices, maintain and update logistics-related licenses and insurance policies, and organize and prepare for meetings, events, presentations, and reports.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Route contracts for signature, collect and save fully executed contracts in designated shared folders, manage the contract lifecycle through Cello, and maintain accurate and organized contract records.
  • Legal Research and Compliance: Conduct legal research on laws and regulations specific to the logistics and transportation industry, assist in ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and perform other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements:
  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry
  • High energy, fast learner, flexible, and able to execute in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize numerous projects under deadline pressure, work extended hours as required, and maintain a positive attitude
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and customer-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to conduct internet research and learn internal contract management tools

Your base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This allows you to progress as you grow and develop within the position. The base pay range for this role is between $35.00 ~ $43.00 per hour, and your base pay will depend on your skills, education, qualifications, experience, and location.
