Role Summary
As a Mother Baby Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to mothers and their newborns. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough nursing assessments to evaluate the health of both mother and infant, adhering to established care standards.
- Developing, implementing, and assessing patient care plans to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Delivering direct nursing care while supervising non-licensed staff within the scope of practice.
- Providing education and emotional support tailored to the needs of patients, recognizing signs of postpartum challenges.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred experience in acute care settings.
- A degree from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- A valid Registered Nurse license in Texas or a Compact Registered Nursing License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Preferred certifications in specialty areas when eligible.
