Role Responsibilities
As a Mother Baby Registered Nurse, you will:
- Conduct thorough nursing assessments to evaluate the health of both mothers and infants, adhering to established care standards.
- Develop, implement, and assess individualized care plans to enhance patient outcomes.
- Deliver direct nursing care while supervising non-licensed staff in accordance with professional guidelines.
- Provide education and emotional support tailored to the unique needs of each patient, including recognizing signs of postpartum challenges.
Qualifications Required
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred experience in acute care settings.
- A degree from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- A valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas or a Compact Registered Nursing License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Preferred certifications in specialty areas when eligible.
