Job Summary

This leadership position will be responsible for analyzing DHS requirements, strategic objectives, funding profiles, and organizational dynamics to identify, prioritize, and develop new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the analysis of DHS requirements and develop strategic plans to capture new business opportunities
  • Develop and execute contact and qualification plans for key opportunities
  • Obtain marketing intelligence and competitive data to inform business development strategies
  • Participate in bid decisions, cost strategy development, and phase reviews
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships and assess competitor capabilities
  • Support the creation and execution of multi-year business development strategies
  • Participate in IRAD and B&P planning, as well as overhead budgeting
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant business development experience, including DHS expertise
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering technology solutions to the Federal Government
  • Track record of success in leading and winning contracts over $50M
  • Ability to identify, establish, and utilize important customer relationships with senior-level officials and program stakeholders within the defense and intelligence community
  • Experience leading opportunity captures, including developing overall win strategies, shaping deals with customers, and understanding pricing
  • Demonstrated background in solution selling and developing new markets with proven leadership from inception to fruition of a strategic campaign
  • Knowledge of Government contracting and current acquisition trends and customer buying behaviors
  • Knowledge of competitors and ability to model competitor behaviors in the market
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with experience presenting to senior executives and customers
