Position Overview:

A Fleet Jobs Senior Financial Consultant plays a crucial role in data analysis and interpretation, presenting findings, advising on process enhancements, and managing special initiatives. This position offers support to various operational teams as well as executive leadership. Responsibilities include crafting financial presentations, scrutinizing operational data, and generating various reports as needed. This is an active role that necessitates collaboration with multiple departments to understand and enhance business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute monthly financial closing tasks, including the preparation of necessary journal entries to guarantee accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Examine financial data and reports to deliver precise and timely financial insights to management for informed decision-making.
  • Establish, update, and track essential performance indicators and financial metrics or dashboards, emphasizing trends and analyzing discrepancies to communicate the financial status of each unit.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to create forecasts and reports, encompassing financial performance, variance analysis, and cost evaluations.
  • Provide in-depth financial analysis of actual expenditures to senior management and the operations team, uncovering trends, investment opportunities, and cost optimization strategies to enhance decision-making.
  • Deliver customized reporting and analytical insights as required.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business discipline.
  • 3-7 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, or modeling.
  • Proficient data analytics and mining capabilities are essential.
  • Experience in logistics or operations is advantageous.
  • Ability to exercise moderate independent judgment with guidance from supervisors.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required; proficiency in MS Access or other database tools is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented and highly analytical, capable of translating data and trends into clear and comprehensible messages.
  • Well-organized and self-driven individual with a strong work ethic, thriving as part of a financial management team.
  • Strong appreciation for hands-on collaboration with the operations team and personnel at various organizational levels.
  • Quality program certification (Six Sigma, ISO, LEAN, etc.) is preferred.
  • Some travel may be necessary.
  • Completion of the employment application, background investigation, and drug screening are mandatory.
