The Project Controls Lead is responsible for directing and managing the comprehensive array of Project Controls functions for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) initiative.


Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the formulation of tailored Project Controls execution plans.
Collaborate with Project Management to ensure accurate reporting and effective project control operations.

Supervise the creation of protocols for diverse project control tasks, encompassing budget formulation, forecasting, progress assessment, and associated cost engineering and scheduling activities.

Direct cost engineering efforts, which include establishing and executing cost management systems, processing invoices, conducting monthly financial reporting, analyzing trends, performing cost variance assessments, and managing funding budgets and cash flow.

Lead cost estimation and forecasting processes, which involve regular project re-evaluations and benchmarking of costs.

Supervise planning and scheduling initiatives, which include crafting both high-level and detailed project timelines, monitoring progress and performance, addressing schedule discrepancies, and developing alternative solutions.

Plan and execute internal audits of essential commercial control systems.
Facilitate and manage the risk evaluation, mitigation, and contingency planning processes for the program.
Coordinate and disseminate necessary project documentation, including updates on progress, costs, and timelines.
Ensure seamless integration among estimating, cost management, scheduling, and risk management functions within projects.
Oversee the development of various estimates, including those that explore alternative options, products, and locations.
Ensure that invoices are monitored, verified, and processed correctly through Accounts Payable.
Manage cash flow forecasts and requests to and from the Finance department.
Oversee contract management functions.
Provide additional administrative support to projects as needed.

Qualifications:
Significant experience in engineering and construction projects, with a focus on project controls.
Proven management experience.
A degree in construction or engineering is preferred (BS/MS).
Experience with power and chemical capital projects is essential.
Demonstrated knowledge and practical understanding of project scheduling, cost management, and cost estimation.
Proven ability to lead a team responsible for planning, scheduling, cost management, and cost estimation activities.
Capability to analyze and interpret cost and schedule reports and data effectively.
Experience in preparing cost estimates.
Proficient in software tools such as Primavera (P6) for planning/scheduling and cost control applications (EcoSys).
Exhibit strong technical expertise.
Able to thrive in a diverse cultural environment.
Demonstrated interpersonal and team-building abilities.
