Job Summary:

HCLTech is seeking a highly skilled Optical Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex optical networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement DWDM networks using Ciena, Infinera, and Cisco equipment
  • Troubleshoot optical DWDM network issues and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Perform software upgrades on large networks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth network operations
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for optical networks
  • Drive meetings with customers to discuss network requirements and solutions

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6-10 years of experience in optical network engineering
  • Hands-on experience with Ciena, Infinera, and Cisco equipment
  • Strong understanding of FCAPS functionalities
  • Excellent spoken English
  • ITIL process understanding (ITIL certification preferred)
  • Good technical document writing skills
  • Experience working in a cross-team environment across different time zones
