Job Overview

As the Marketing Communications Lead, you will be at the forefront of managing and strategizing a diverse range of marketing and communications projects throughout the organization. Your role will involve articulating the 2Life brand and its key campaign messages across various formats, collaborating closely with departmental experts, and partnering with the Digital Marketing Manager to craft effective content distribution strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary project manager for designated topics and departments.
  • Organize and facilitate project kickoff meetings, ongoing project discussions, and wrap-up sessions, while documenting meeting notes and action items.
  • Capture the essence of organizational experts' insights, merging them with a thorough understanding of brand guidelines and target audiences to create compelling content.
  • Develop engaging copy for social media, websites, blogs, marketing materials, internal communications, events, and media outreach.
  • Select appropriate photography and create simple, on-brand graphics to enhance social media content.
  • Collaborate with agencies and freelancers to produce high-quality written and design materials that align with brand standards.
  • Generate innovative ideas for thought leadership to support marketing initiatives, working in partnership with the Director of Brand Communications and external resources.
  • Utilize the Marketing and Communications technology stack to facilitate content distribution and delivery, coordinating with the Digital Marketing Manager to ensure strategic alignment and scheduling.
  • Work alongside the Digital Marketing Manager to establish and analyze metrics related to campaigns.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain consistent branding and messaging across all communication platforms.
  • Contribute to the overall project tracking system of the Marketing and Communications team.
  • Aid in the organized storage of all communication assets.
  • Provide training to team members and other organizational staff as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing and communications, ideally within a nonprofit context.
  • Proficiency in storytelling and developing key messages.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a proven track record of leading cross-departmental teams to deliver diverse campaign assets on schedule.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in editing and proofreading communication materials.
  • Experience in media relations and developing news coverage.
  • Familiarity with print and mailing service providers.
  • Proficient in digital marketing tools such as Drupal, Agorapulse, Semrush, Act-On, Google Workspace, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and Salesforce.

Work Environment

  • This position operates in a hybrid work setting.
  • Standard office conditions are expected, primarily involving computer-based tasks.
  • Flexibility for occasional off-hours work may be necessary for events.
