Job Overview

As the Marketing Communications Lead, you will be at the forefront of managing and strategizing a diverse range of marketing and communication projects within the organization. Your role will involve articulating the 2Life Communities brand and key campaign messages across various formats, collaborating closely with departmental experts, and partnering with the Digital Marketing Manager to create effective content distribution strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary project manager for designated departments and topics.
  • Organize and facilitate project kickoff, ongoing, and wrap-up meetings, ensuring comprehensive documentation of notes and action items.
  • Capture the essence of insights from organizational experts, merging them with a deep understanding of brand guidelines and target audiences to produce compelling content.
  • Craft engaging copy for various platforms including social media, websites, internal communications, and media relations.
  • Select appropriate imagery and create simple, on-brand graphics to enhance social media content.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and freelancers to deliver high-quality written and design materials.
  • Generate innovative ideas for thought leadership to support marketing initiatives, executing these ideas in partnership with the Director of Brand Communications and external resources.
  • Utilize the Marketing and Communications technology stack to enhance content distribution, working alongside the Digital Marketing Manager to ensure strategic alignment and effective scheduling.
  • Work together with the Digital Marketing Manager to set and evaluate metrics related to campaigns.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain consistent branding and messaging across all communication materials.
  • Contribute to the overall project tracking system of the Marketing and Communications team.
  • Assist in the organized storage of all communication assets.
  • Provide training to team members and other organizational staff as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing and communications, ideally within a nonprofit setting.
  • Proficient in storytelling and message development.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a proven track record of leading cross-departmental teams to deliver a variety of campaign assets on time.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in editing and proofreading communication materials.
  • Experience in media relations and developing news coverage.
  • Familiarity with print and mailing vendors.
  • Proficient in digital marketing tools such as Drupal, Agorapulse, Semrush, Act-On, Google Workspace, Google Analytics 4, and Salesforce.

Work Environment

  • This position is hybrid in nature.
  • Standard office environment with a focus on computer-based tasks.
  • Flexibility for occasional work outside of standard hours may be required.
