Position Overview

The Accounting and Administration Supervisor is responsible for managing the financial reporting and accounting operations within the organization while also supporting various operational and administrative functions. This role is crucial in ensuring adherence to accounting standards and providing strategic financial insights to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee all general accounting activities, including the month-end closing process, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliations.
  • Gather, analyze, and present financial data to the leadership team promptly.
  • Manage the budgeting process from inception to completion.
  • Oversee revenue and expenses, including payroll support.
  • Act as the tax liaison with external CPA firms and finalize tax filings.
  • Handle accounts receivable, ensuring reconciliation of commissions received versus expected.
  • Provide support for daily accounting tasks, including ACH payments and monitoring banking requirements.
  • Enhance and maintain the accounting infrastructure to accommodate business growth, including documentation of policies and procedures.
  • Supervise all audits and reviews, including financial, tax, and bank audits.
  • Assist the COO with operational planning and administration.
  • Support HR and Operations with various corporate services, including IT and administrative functions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks accounting software.
  • Ability to manage tasks using project management tools.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and its implications.
  • Experience in budget creation and management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with project teams and external vendors.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of achieving results.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional writing skills.

Additional Skills:
  • Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).
  • Experience with the Getting Things Done (GTD) productivity method.
