Project Elevate is a specialized initiative aimed at supporting women reintegrating into the Denver community after incarceration. The successful candidate will oversee the safety of participants, mentor staff, conduct necessary audits, and provide insights on policies and procedures.
The Re-Entry Services Coordinator position is part of the Community Corrections Division (CCD) within the Department of Safety, which manages alternatives to incarceration, including pretrial services and residential community corrections. Our dedicated team is committed to enhancing public safety and collaborating with community partners and criminal justice agencies.
Key responsibilities include ensuring participant safety, mentoring staff, performing regulatory audits, and making policy recommendations.

We value diverse experiences, and prior interactions with the criminal justice system are not disqualifying for most applicants.
Project Elevate operates 24/7, and team members should be prepared for non-traditional shifts, including day, swing, and overnight shifts, with a flexible scheduling approach.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred, but not mandatory)
- Experience in community corrections, re-entry, or working with individuals supervised by the criminal justice system
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Understanding of crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and behavioral change techniques
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Commitment to teamwork and timely task completion
- Motivated to engage with participants in a gender-responsive and trauma-informed manner
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Human Services, Public Administration, or a related field
- Experience: Three (3) years in a related field
- Education and Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of relevant experience may substitute for one year of required education
- Licensure & Certification: Ability to obtain Adult CPR, AED, Naloxone, and First Aid certifications post-hire, with ongoing education as required
