Job Overview

Beverage Service Attendant:

In this role, you will report directly to the Beverage Supervisor and play a crucial part in ensuring the bar operates smoothly. Your primary responsibilities will include restocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness behind the bar, facilitating efficient service for our guests. You will monitor and manage the bar stock at your designated station, retrieve additional supplies from inventory as needed, and assist bartenders by preparing drink glasses and serving non-alcoholic beverages during peak times. Additionally, you may step in to perform bartender duties during breaks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure necessary supplies and equipment for the food and beverage outlet.
  • Prepare garnishes by slicing and pitting fruits for the bartending team.
  • Ensure accurate levels of beverages, glassware, cleaning supplies, and utensils are maintained for bar operations.
  • Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to wash and dry all glassware.
  • Replace empty kegs and beverage boxes as required.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, free from debris.
  • Provide a safe environment for both staff and guests.
  • Set up the bar with all necessary supplies, ice, and tools based on anticipated business levels.
  • Ensure the work area is stocked appropriately for incoming shifts.
  • Assist fellow staff members to ensure excellent guest service.
  • Exemplify professionalism and encourage others to uphold company standards.
  • Comply with all departmental and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours).
  • Capability to navigate all areas of the property, including stairs and escalators.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and perform various physical tasks.
  • Ability to respond to visual and auditory signals.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Tolerance for environments with dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong multitasking skills and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Previous experience in restaurant or bar service is preferred.
  • Ability to operate cash registers and beverage dispensing equipment.
  • Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
