  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Digital Records Manager to enhance record-keeping systems.
  • Training: Facilitate educational programs on records management policies for the broader university community.
  • Policy Alignment: Ensure that Harvard University Archives policies are in sync with information governance best practices.
  • Supervision: Oversee the Records Manager/Archivist and manage the process of record destruction.
  • Historical Preservation: Advocate for the retention of records with significant historical value.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with other archival and records management entities to promote program effectiveness.
  • Advocacy: Champion the importance of Records Management Services and the Harvard University Archives.
  • Vital Records Program: Develop and implement a program to safeguard critical university records.
  • Legal Support: Assist in the retrieval of records in response to legal inquiries and subpoenas.
  • Field Knowledge: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of trends and advancements in the field of records management.
