Oversee and mentor project engineering teams and associated personnel, developing work scopes, issuing contracts, and managing budgetary and scheduling concerns for new construction initiatives.

Facilitate project teams in both office and field settings, adopting a more autonomous approach, while supporting model-driven project management, process workflows, and the integration of construction technologies across business units.

Assist the project manager and superintendent in enforcing policies and executing project plans, while actively participating in the application of the internal Environmental Health and Safety Plan to ensure a consistently safe work environment, including conducting regular safety audits.

Provide mentorship and direction to fellow project engineers, acting as the primary contact for engineers, field office coordinators, project accountants, and other designated project personnel. Offer prioritization, guidance, and constructive feedback. Ensure contract compliance and manage the identification, assembly, negotiation, and distribution of change orders to both owners and subcontractors. Develop, monitor, and revise project timelines.

Establish, maintain, and execute various document control systems such as daily reports, material procurement logs, submittal logs, as-built documentation, testing and inspection records, RFI logs, and change order documentation.

Lead the dissemination of new drawings, modifications, approved submittals, RFI responses, and other pertinent project information to all relevant stakeholders. Organize and digitally archive project documentation for streamlined access by the project team. Conduct project closeout processes and transfer all project-related information to owners.

This includes updating and submitting closed snag lists, conducting project closeout walkthroughs, finalizing as-built drawings, and compiling test reports and 3D models with product data.

Prepare billing for owners by consolidating DPR costs, reviewing subcontractor invoices, and organizing documentation in accordance with owner specifications.

Engage in project cost management, which involves maintaining internal records and collaborating with subcontractors to ensure that changes are compensated. Participate in training sessions and company meetings to foster personal and organizational development.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline, accompanied by 3 years of experience in the offered position, as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or a comparable role within the commercial construction sector.

Alternative Education/Experience Criteria: Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field, along with 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the offered position, as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or a similar role in the commercial construction industry will be accepted.

Specialized Requirements:
The position necessitates a minimum of one (1) year of experience in each of the following areas:

Addressing construction challenges that arise during design and execution phases. Project estimation and scheduling. Proficiency in BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, or similar). Familiarity with project management software (CMiC, Prolog, or similar). Experience with scheduling software (Primavera or similar).
