Position Summary

The Project Engineer is accountable for overseeing daily project operations, ensuring quality control, managing project deliverables, and reviewing shop drawings while guiding all design phases associated with site development.

Management Responsibilities
This role does not entail supervisory duties.

Key Responsibilities
To excel in this position, the individual must effectively manage the following tasks:
  • Oversee all project stages from initial design to contract documentation and specification creation, including shop drawing reviews, site visits, and project completion.
  • Demonstrate practical management capabilities to plan, direct, and monitor all project elements.
  • Receive general administrative guidance with assignments provided in broad terms and objectives.
  • Independently make civil engineering design decisions while escalating complex issues to the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.
  • Coordinate and manage the workload among project team members.
  • Collaborate with internal and external team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong technical expertise in civil engineering.
  • Ability to draft, edit, and coordinate specifications relevant to civil engineering.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality service.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and integrity in interactions.
  • Strong organizational, planning, time management, and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven ability to manage and meet competing deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-sufficient in managing projects from inception to completion, with oversight.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in current software including Revit, AutoCAD, 3D Studio or Form-Z, Photoshop, MS Word, and MS Excel.
  • Comprehensive understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and approval processes related to civil engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of building systems and site requirements pertinent to civil engineering (Structural, MEP, Civil & Geo-Tech).
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional engineering licensure is mandatory.

Work Environment
Work is conducted in a standard office environment, at client sites, and on construction sites.

The position also involves mobility around construction sites before and after the installation of various systems.
