We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Automation Controls Engineer to join our team at Revere Plastics Systems, LLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our manufacturing processes, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Optimization: Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems to identify areas for enhancement and propose effective solutions.
  • Cost Savings: Develop, measure, and spearhead quarterly targets for cost-saving automation projects across all RPS locations.
  • Data Integrity: Lead data integrity practices for automated systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Engineering Processes: Establish and uphold engineering processes, procedures, and equipment standards while creating a preferred vendor list.
  • Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and standards to provide strategic recommendations for meeting business objectives.
  • System Design: Design electrical control systems for automated equipment to optimize performance.
  • Collaboration: Strengthen RPS automation capabilities in various technical functions through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Project Management: Collaborate closely with advanced engineering and sales teams for accurate quoting of customer projects and ensure a seamless transition for new products and processes.
  • Special Assignments: Undertake special assignments as required to support ongoing projects.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred, or a minimum of 7 years' experience in a relevant domain, or a combination of both.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in PLC systems.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and/or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • Essential experience in diagnosing and resolving electrical issues within an industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in programming methods like PLC and HMI systems.
  • Strong ability to interpret blueprints accurately.
  • Familiarity with standard operating procedures, engineering documentation, and electrical diagrams.
  • Sound knowledge of Electrical Systems (HMI, PLC, High Voltage, Low Voltage, Machine Controls).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

Additional Information: This role requires the flexibility to travel between 50% to 60% of the time to different locations for project requirements.
