Key ResponsibilitiesThe selected engineer will oversee the development and implementation of control systems for airport baggage security solutions. This role involves collaboration with project managers, engineering teams, and clients to ensure project success. Responsibilities include:
- Managing projects from initial concept through to client handover.
- Leading a team of controls engineers and detailers, coordinating efforts with mechanical engineering and project management teams.
- Handling requirements, integration, and configuration adjustments throughout project lifecycles.
- Delegating tasks effectively to engage team members in both long-term and daily activities.
- Applying creative problem-solving techniques to enhance resource allocation, scheduling, and budget management.
- Providing guidance to team members on project execution and technical solutions for complex challenges.
- Ensuring the functionality and technical quality of automated systems.
- Identifying and executing improvement initiatives.
- Engineering and Technology: Proficient in applying engineering principles and technologies in system design and production.
- Project Management: Familiarity with the project management lifecycle from requirements gathering to implementation.
- English Proficiency: Strong understanding of English language structure, including grammar and composition.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of five years in industrial automation controls design and commissioning.
- Experience in project management and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with scheduling and estimating processes.
- Proficient in Allen Bradley PLC Programming (ControlLogix).
- Preferred experience in the material handling industry.
- Preferred experience with baggage handling systems.
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain stationary for extended periods, traverse office environments, operate computers and other equipment, and communicate effectively with team members.
