Manufacturing Automation Engineer

REVERE PLASTICS SYSTEMS is looking for a talented Manufacturing Automation Engineer to enhance our Electrical and Controls design, estimation, execution, and validation of essential equipment and systems for streamlined manufacturing processes. This role emphasizes continuous improvement and effective resolution of challenges through the implementation of robust systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate current systems to pinpoint improvement opportunities and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Establish and drive quarterly objectives for automation cost reduction initiatives across various sites.
  • Oversee data integrity protocols for automated systems.
  • Standardize and oversee engineering workflows, equipment specifications, and develop a preferred vendor directory.
  • Keep abreast of industry advancements and technological standards to offer informed strategic advice.
  • Design electrical control frameworks for automation machinery.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to bolster automation functionalities.
  • Engage closely with engineering groups to ensure precise quotations and seamless integration of products and processes.
  • Complete additional projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline is preferred, or a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient understanding of PLCs and electrical/mechanical engineering principles.
  • Experience in diagnosing and rectifying electrical problems in an industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with programming techniques such as PLC and HMI.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering specifications.
  • Solid grasp of Electrical Engineering concepts and control systems.
  • Strong communication, organizational, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50%-60% of the time.
