Job Overview

Purpose of the Role:

This role is pivotal in executing field service operations within the service department of Mingledorff's Inc. Responsibilities encompass administrative duties such as scheduling, accurate documentation, and billing for service tasks, alongside delivering technical assistance and support to both employees and clients. A key aspect of this position is to foster positive relationships with dealers and customers regarding the service of the products represented by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical training support, diagnostic guidance, and on-site troubleshooting for clients as required.
  • Assist mechanical contractors, owners, sales representatives, and engineers during equipment initiation and certification processes.
  • Conduct training sessions covering all product lines for customers, engineers, end-users, and internal staff as necessary.
  • Ensure all initiation documentation is accurately completed and submitted to both internal teams and manufacturers of the relevant equipment.
  • Stay informed about current installation and service practices relevant to the equipment sold by Mingledorff's Inc.
  • Timely submission of warranty documentation to manufacturers and collaboration with the office administrator for warranty service reimbursements.
  • Ensure accurate allocation and billing for job-related initiations and field troubleshooting activities.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with technical service and application teams at various manufacturers, providing timely feedback on product-related issues and constructive insights on product design and manufacturing.
  • Maintain Subject Matter Expert status on all products represented by the company.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Commercial Construction Science, Air Conditioning Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • EPA Certification is preferred.
  • NATE certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the HVAC industry is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in using tools such as digital gauges, volt-amp-temperature-rpm meters, laptops, tablets, smartphones, manometers, psychrometers, anemometers, and familiarity with manufacturers' specific tools, software, and websites, as well as Microsoft Office and HVAC-related calculators.
  • Experience in commissioning HVAC products in laboratory, hospital, and other regulated environments is a plus.
  • Familiarity with various service software solutions is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record as per company policies.
  • Must qualify for and remain insurable under the company's liability insurance policy.
  • Must meet federal and state regulations to operate the required vehicle.

In performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, lay on the floor, use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear, and may need to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. The employee may work in environments with temperatures ranging from 20 to 105 degrees. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 50% travel to client job sites and offices, with some assignments requiring overnight stays, as well as travel to industry-related conferences and training sessions, which may involve extended stays.
